Maybe I love him
but we’ll never know.
I’ll hide in our friendship
and wonder my little thoughts.
He went away to be a man.
Here I sit writing my letters
disguising my doubts
with countless passing men.
We’re supposed to be friends,
that’s probably all we’ll ever be,
but I’ll still be here with my look,
and wonder my little thoughts.
