~* She's In The Arms Of An Angel *~

I stare at a picture, feeling the searing pain
of another friend I loved, now come and gone.
Her life was ended in just one split second,
but forever, her memory will always live on.

In the silence I almost can hear her voice,
whispering so softly into my ear.
I wish and pray I could hold her close,
and that she could still be here.

Catching the fragrance of her perfume;
I smell it wafting through the air.
A tear escapes as a distant memory looms,
as I remembered the scent she would wear.

I never got a chance to say good-bye
will this wound I feel ever heal?
Regardless of how many tears I cry
right now I am too numb to even feel.

Our friendship and the memories made,
in time will help me to forgive and see,
Even though I lost a very dear friend,
I now have another angel watching over me.

She'll be held in the arms of an angel,
Another friend who'll take her in her care,
So I won't worry about either of them,
I'm so glad they have each other there.

This is wonderful, Lady. You are wonderful for writing such beauty and having such a wonderous heart also. I'm sure she would love this.   Sorry to hear of your loss. ((HUGS))

====================================

I'm so sorry you've lost your friend,
A beautiful way to look at it Sharon...
seems we all have many angel eyes helping guide our way.
In prayer and thought...
heart hugs to you

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy

I could never fully express the way your poem has touched my heart, this brought pain and comfort alike and put yet another face to the tragedy our nation felt, hugs to you and may your angels bring you comfort and healing for your pain~

Jenn ~ Butterflies Don't Cry ~ Janet Marie ~ Kit ~ Sunshine ~ Nan ~ and James Michael:

I suppose that in this poem I am speaking for many.  I have too think this way is the ONLY way that brings comfort to me personally, I have lost too many friends in one year, but I know they are now all together in a wonderful place, and one day we will meet again.  (Willow and Donna were friends so this was my comfort).

A special note to Jenn: thanks for taking the time to talk about this with me late last night, it helped a lot.

Sharon, please forgive my tardiness in arriving here...I'm still trying to catch up here.  This was written from the center of the voice of your heart, and is so deeply touching.  It was such a sad day for not only the United States and the victims of the senseless act of terrorism that occurred on September 11th, but for ALL of the world.  So many wives, husbands, fathers, mothers, children, friends and family members were stolen without a reason, and have left so many hearts with an empty place inside that will never be filled again.  You have made certain with this beautiful tribute that the memory of your friend will live on in the music of your words that is played so eloquently from your heart and soul.  You are truly an angel who embraces everyone in your life so unconditionally, and the love that you pour out upon them is infinite and eternal.  You are an amazing and wonderful lady, and I love ya always!
Hugs, Dawn

Dawn ~ Her memorial, like many was absolutely unreal with the outcry of support for the family, and for your country.  There were many heros died that day, and we will all go on now and make it all mean something, thanks sweetie.

Mysteria,

Sympathetic hearts feel sorry
For the sadness of the story,
Filled with sorrow and with worry.

These hearts of care will not mind this
Because of their human kindness,
They want to help despair find bliss.

To give to those less fortunate
They strive, through choice, to help a heart,
Maybe, their voice could be a start.

Your voice is certainly one of them.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Hugs to you...
And, may God Bless,
~Nancy~

I'm so sorry for your loss. But you are right when you say you now have another Angel watching over you. Live life to the fullest in tribute to your friend. That's the best you can do.

Mysteria, when we hold on to those that we treasure they are never really gone.  My heart goes out to you in your loss.  Hugs and remember that with each tear, there is also joy in the celebration of your friends life.  HUS

Vandana, thank you.

Gentle Spirit, Smitten Kitten, and SmartChick, thank you three so much, but it was only yesterday I realized I am not alone in all this sorrow, there are so many.  I was so caught up in my own grief, I forgot to recognize other friends on here that also were suffering, and my heart goes out to them to.

Smitten Kitten ~ I loved your poem email, may that random act of kindness be returned to you. x o
