I see the strangest things at night
skies full of color a beautiful sight
Last night it was a shade of cherryred
I almost called my Henk out of bed
It was weird, no clouds were involved
a phenomenon that I've not yet solved
It just looked like Halloweenredspray
it was a bit scary I really must say
And don't say it's the sunset that I saw
at two AM it's pitchdark that's the law
Stars I saw so many were never there
they were just scattered everywhere
The color was seen over a long range
never saw something like it so strange
And tonight again at two AM I was outside
above me pitchdark fading to orangelight
Not just one spot but all around as I turned
it just looked like if the horizons burned
Oh well, maybe some aliens spooked around
although I didn't hear a single sound
Still it's so strange those colors at night
but I can tell you, it was a perfect sight

(sigh) Oh my...how beautiful that morning color must have been! (smiles) I've always dreamed of going up north to see the northern lights, and now you're inspiring me to go up to the Netherlands too! (big hugggssssss) I'm so happy you got this beautiful vision in words, it's so special indeed! (sigh) I love it, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Titia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

It's really odd... I recall a night when I was about 10 years old - I had this same experience... A totally red sky - it was the middle of the night... and there was no explanation - It was far more light than any northern light display could possibly muster... and yeah - it was gorgeous - and scary... and the alien thought has never left my mind as a possibility..

.. and this is kewl - I get to delete one of the Dutch mutinists...

I can just picture the image. I wish I had seen it too.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Love it---I too have seen some odd things in the wee hours, and tried to explain, but alas, my friends just say I'm having "flashbacks".....I loved the slow descriptiveness of this....lovely Madamne Titia!

MistletoeAngel, thanks for your sweet words.

Nan, glad I'm not alone to see these weird colors. Beautiful but spooky, scientists would probably have perfect explanations.
Yea, I thought you would like that, deleting a one of the mutining Dutchies

Marge dear, the Spirit of Halloween? Maybe you're right, Angels having a Halloweenparty

Tracey, you sure would have liked it

Serenity, thanks, yes, strange things happen in the middle of the night.

Duncan, I did try, but nothing appeared on my digital camera. So often I want to capture beautiful moons, but alas, all I'm getting is a pitchdark photo.

Hi sweet Vicky, glad to see you.

WayoutWalt, thanks

Sunshine, well the pics didn't work out, showed just pitchdarkness. Need another kind of camera to catch it, so no pics this time.
