A kiss on the wind, blown by the breeze
An efforless gesture, intended to please
A guideless missive, pressed by sweet lips
To one so far away, one who is missed.
Return soon to her soldier, stay safe from harm
In your quest the enemies of peace to disarm.
We'll think of you fondly and pray in the night
For God to watch over you while you fight.
And pray for your enemies, ever so bold
To lighten their hearts and release who they hold,
And allow you home safely to those that you love
Guided home on the wind, with strength from above.
So, return to her soldier, when your job is done
And know that she's waiting for you, when this war is won.

-- Dedicated to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard and the Reserves, with prayers for their safety.

Knight of the Rose.
