Snug Ashore

A room removed from noise and rush.
A window in an alcove placed
close to the far end of the house
that sits near the cliff.
A view that overlooks the sea.
A ship, tiny as a toy,
or memory.
Fleeting rain that charts the glass
with countless voyages
I've traced.
And yet, I think, despite all this
I am, with you, at last
encompassed.

This is a very snug fit indeed, and rests easily in my library...

Oh my goodness!! I am thrilled by this and can picture everything you mentioned in my mind and feel it in my heart. Chris

*sigh* this is a poem that draws me to the serenity of it. Beautiful writing. I not only saw the vision of it but I could feel it too. I love it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Thank you, all. You are too kind, particularly as respects one who's participation is as intermittent as my own. Again, thank you. Bob

"A view that overlooks the sea.

Sounds like a lovely place to write a poem or two.
