Autumnal Equinox
~*Marge Tindal*~

It is the autumn
of the trees
resplendently adorned

Kaleidoscopic colors
greet our eyes
as equinox is borne

One by one they tumble
falling in soft surround
resting in technicolor heaps
as they land upon the ground

Raking comes, as raking will
but before that task begins
Enjoy the pleasure of a child
Go ahead - jump in !

*In the Northern Hemisphere
September 22, begins the Autumnal Equinox

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Splendid technicolor poem!  *grins*  It's about that time of year already is it?  Good grief, it seems like just yesterday the snow decided to go away, and here it is fall already.  Good grief, I repeat!

I mentioned your use of colorage; it certainly adds the intended effect, which, I might add, is awesome!  And your palabras create a different sort of image, but the same colors! *grins*  Great write!

This sure brings back happy memories, of my children helping rake leaves and then jumping in the pile.  I wasn't above doing it myself!

Here in east Texas we don't get much of a color change in our pine trees so thanks a lot for sharing the picture.....this dosn't mean I have to help rake does it?

I don't get much Autumn color, being surrounded by concrete, but the picture you painted here more than makes up for it! Great work!
