It Was Marvelous!

seven days
six nights
before
All Hallows’ Eve

we met
deep
in the forest
at the great stone
table

trees
whispered secrets
owls
serenaded
la luna
worms set up parades
through
the forest floor

already
it was the magical time
weaving promises
of frightful,
alluring
fantasy

Gable
and I
peered into
the margolis bowl
hoping to see
mystery
while Serenata waited
patiently
for our eyes
to perceive

we were not
disappointed...
there,
in the bowl,
magic was woven

oh, that you could see,
it would be
an exciting pleasure,
yet,
as you cannot,
I know it is impossible
for you to understand
or believe
what we saw.
So I shall make no
attempt to explain
nor describe,
just know,
it was marvelous!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you all, and Sunshine, I've come in intermittently over the past few weeks. Fortunately, I've been kept really busy subbing. Also, it seems that people might be less tired of my poetry popping up since it pops up much less these days.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

And the vision was MARVELOUS...I can relate. I get lost in visions when I am gazing at a star filled sky with all its magic and mystery. BRAVO!!!I LOVE IT.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

pure fantasy!  it is a response to a challenge to write to a painting, see the painting by locating "October Painting Challenge of the Month" at www.voy.com/1001. You'll need to use Internet Explorer, Netscape won't work. Click on the above subject...you'll have to scroll down quite a ways to find it. Then click on Painting Challenge, then on October 2001 and then I think you'll be there.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

To think I almost misssed this.  Nicely done and an enjoyable read, Virginia
