Deep in the heart

*With apologies to Lord Byron*

"She walks in beauty, like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
and all that’s best of dark and bright
meet in her aspect and her eyes":

Those words forever remembered
seem to bring you to memory,
coalescing thoughts dismembered,
hidden in my mind’s armory.

Your beauty walks proudly in verse
carrying all who read aloft,
to higher plains, they shall traverse,
crossing on cumulus clouds’ waft.

Beauty lies within and without.
Of your beauty there is no doubt.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Interloper...a nice appreciation...both of the poet...and "the beauty". Smiles. Bob

To borrow truth from Poet's pen
a gift that thee would proffer, then
entwine it so with verbiage clear
that you share a love so dear

'tis not often seen
though words ring true
shall be gilt in gold
for all who view

thy Tall Texan, who would write
soon, and more, then through dark nights...

*sigh* sonnets are the most romantic of poems. They are a favourite of mine, although, I do not write them well. This poem is so incredibly beautiful. I am sure her heart will melt when she reads these words so tenderly spoken. *sigh* I love it. Your talent for this kind of work needs no apology. It is exceptional.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

from one Texan to another....gee, you sure write pretty.
I love Lord Byron, and I loved this.
very nicely done.

Poetic verse nestled in the warmth of my heart, reveals the sweet yearnings of my soul....
