The Love Flute
By: Noah Eaton
10/14/01

Come to my window, my sweet ladylove
Hear this song my spirit cries
This oriole within warbles to your beauty
Together may we make verses for sweet life

Wrap yourself in my blanket I wield
Hold me close to your beating heart I dote upon
Hear the sparrows amass between our hedonistic spirits
Fluttering their wings in every tear and every smile fond

Through the Mother Spirit Wind, I recite my billet-doux
Where the sheep will cry and the horse will invoke
You are my lady sparrow I fancy to nest beside
Your heart is the one I'll always hold

Through the Great Spirit, my heart cries in mirth
Each time I hold your hand, looking into your soft opal eyes
Come to my window on this electric whimsical eve
In the song of the Love Flute may we be lovingly intwined...

Noah,

A wonderful, uplifting and romantic poem. I really enjoy the thought of the spirits ferrying us humans along, the good spirits.

Peace to you.

Ah, the flute. One of my favorite instruments, with notes so lyrical and magical. And this poem is also quite magical. Your muse helps you create such lovely tunes.
Have you ever heard these CD's, R.Carlos Nakai, 'Canyon Trilogy', or Coyote Old Man, 'Tear of The Moon'? I think you would enjoy both.

What a beautiful love song. So prettily penned
