~Mere Words Wont Do You Justice~

Lonely is just too pretty of a word ... to define the way I sometimes feel ...
it could never do this ache for you justice ... cant describe it and make it feel real.
Tears is just too little of a word ... to define the way I sometimes cry ...
for I could drown in my own river of tears ... I fear these eyes will never run dry.

Poetry is just too vague of a word ... to define my desperate need to write ...
it's the only thing that comforts me ... all that holds me in the dark of night.
Muse is just too small of a word ... to define the inspiration I find in you ...
the sole reason for my rhyme ... my pen exists only to write verse to be held true.

Desire is just to cold of a word ... to define the fire that burns inside of me ...
it cant describe the flames that rise up ... cant explain the depth of the intensity.
Love is just not enough of a word ... to define my undying emotion ...
it would take volumes of poetic words ... to describe my heart's devotion.

There are times when my words fail me ... when they simply wont define ...
still I will always write for you ... etching this love in the sands of time.
For all I have left are my words ... and the God given gift of poetry ...
so I engrave your name in poetic gold ... to hold you forever in fate and destiny.

Janet Marie

for DeVante' ... the reason I write ... always.

"The great song traveler passed through here
And he opened my eyes to the view
And I was among those who called him a prophet
And I asked him what was true
Until the distance had shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life for a truth that is my own

Well I looked into the sky for my anthem
And the words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you -- and that's true"

**repost from #11 by request...
thank you my friend, for finding this one special...
and for missing my muse(almost) as much as I do.

When your own emptiness is all that's getting through
There comes a point when you're not sure why you're still talking
I passed that point long ago

Janet Marie--Whatever and however you write, I will always read new, or again and again, with my heart, for that is how you write.
Hugs and love, my friend!

I love the flow of this, as smooth as a gentle stream flowing softly over well-worn pebbles. I need to read some DeVante.

To me, everything you write is new, so I'm always glad to see a repost.
Have you considered putting an ad in the classifieds for your muse, under lost and found?  lol
Your poetry is incredible in it's intensity.

This is a melody that sings from that gentle, beautiful heart of yours Janet.
You have truly blossomed into the most
beautiful butterfly I have ever seen.  *w*
Lovin it gal, me thinks your muse has returned.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

JM,
My Tinkerbell hovers well
The endless thoughts that dwell.
But life is not all dreamers' dawn
And sun does light the true of morn.
But to fly with the wings of why
Is to tumble out of the sky.

Love your poem.

JM~ This is so soft and beautiful.
Your heart sings out with aching clarity.
I will keep this in my library close to my heart, for it speaks volumes to this little moth

Hugs,

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

You know you commented on a poem by Elizabeth yesterday saying the higest compliment you could pay a poet was to say you wished you could have written the verse, and hers was of the same content.  Now, I too, wish to tell you, not only could I ever begin to write like this Janet Marie, but I DO feel all those same feelings of a different love for a friend that I miss terribly, and there are no words for me, I just can't find them at all.  I wish I had the ability to put into words as you do the love you felt and still feel for that is what will keep your spirit warm.  May you always have the ability to write this love, for it is a thing of beauty - beyond my words.

Beautiful passage..as is the whole poem a work to enjoy... I believe we all would have someone think of us this way...and that you have thought of someone like this makes the both of you very lucky....

wonderfully done... and a pleasure to read.

Janet Marie-
There are no words more beautiful than
those which you pen for DeVante'.
Your heart simply soars in every verse you pen.
   Absolutely lovely, sweet friend.

Janet, What can be said that hasn't already been said by those whom replied before me?
You always write the most touching words, and for that I wish to thank you. It is often said that poetry is the art of love, and you always prove that when you write for
DeVante. May God smile upon you today and every day. hugssssssssss

There isn't a word or verse I could pick as favorite. I wish your muse would return to you ten fold. Somehow you've made me need to read deeper into a poet's heart. Your poetry brings such emotion to me....that goes beyond a simple read. It's a journey. To a beautiful place.

Sincerely,
Regina
