Count Me In

Oh, don't worry about the sun going down
It can't ever take away my mind's image of you
No matter how hard the rain rides down my window pane
It'll leave way for the sun to shine our whole life through...

God, how I wish you could think of me without a tear stained pillow
How I wish I could think of you without falling to my knees
I just want to be your light when you lay your head at night
Please don't let the sadness replace what you mean to me...

You can be sure that I will find my way to you
Even if it takes me my lifetime to get myself there
For as long as the wind is willing to carry me again
Then have no fear, dear one, you can count me in...

You can include me to stand before the deepest water there is
And, I will make it across with faith at my side
I'm willing to ride the waves with every memory I've saved
So, count me in that I'll reach you with each rising tide...

You can count me in when the mountains seem even harder to climb
For my destination is to lie with you on sunset's bed
Nothing is high enough and not a bit too tough
When a mother's child gives way to the distance ahead...

I am weak to your thought but am strong to your need
I'm on a mission to get what belongs to me
So, don't you worry when a day must end
Just count me in to bring us together again...

I really like where this one went.
Thanks for sharing, Saunni.

What delightful determination.  Loyalty unparalleled.  Great write.  I really enjoyed this.  Thanks Saunni.

Your words are soft to the heart...a gentle coddling with inner strength.
