They come not from space with malicious intent
but keep such a pace I see not where they went
The circuit they travel un-ravels my thoughts
leaving me less than I bargained for bought

Their movements a flurry of hurry up go
I scramble and scurry but still I'm too slow
Just when I think I know where they have gone
the moondust of dreams meets the bright light of dawn

I swing in to action sure this is the day
I'll catch them and hold them and make them obey
They elude my grasp and speed laughing away
oh , how I long to just once make them stay

And who are these creatures that make my life hell
that constantly run from the sound of the bell ?
The answer I fear I know only too well
sadly it's true , that only time will tell .

Sounds as if you are in the middle of a school ground during recess.....

and then of course, there are other thoughts, but that was the first one that shot through my mind....

Moose and moonbeams...both elusive, both inspiring. Both leave me in the dust no matter how fast I move.
