or pounding heart
against my chest,
your sighs and moans.

I cannot taste your flesh
or breathe
the fragrance of your hair,
as I would want.

Content,
I’ll have to be
to hold your hand.

I will kiss you
with my tender ways,
my gentleness,
for
all my days.
