One distant descrying heart
beats papably though thought silent,
an association of art
amplifies pain near violent,
for the depths of a wound asunder
call adrift unhindered winds,
to the sensitive sound like thunder
leaving kindred souls chagrined.

For the air we breathe,
the light we're shown
and the moon above
we share,
and we dare bequeath
all the might we own
just assume the Love,
we care.

Though flung to far off places,
in pain of Love felt scant,
we've clung to the embraces
of the strains of the poet's chant.
The next time steeped in sorrow,
feel hurtin' and alone,
I beg you keep not borrow
these words here as your own.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve"

I just love the way your poetry
flows!  This is another great poem,
but what else could I expect...!

what a very cool poem...
a bittersweet beauty here Richard...
cadence kissed...with inner rhyme divine.
Loved the imagery too.

only you could give love that satisfies the soul...
see the darkness of my heart and still won't let me go.

And forever to your ownself be true, and you definitely are Richard, this was a fantastic piece.  The only true thing a man has are his thoughts, well said.

well done Sir. . . 'tis the gift that every poet gives. . . one that he hopes is accepted. . .

Incredibly well written, Richard -- easily in the ranks of the classics.  And a very good message & thought.  Enjoyed this one strongly.

This one calls for a read and another read and another.....it's just that kind of a piece!
