www dot love's scavenger hunt

no time to play, surfing scurry
hurry here and there
just happen across the first clue-
lines laughed, finger tipped replies.
   pop a can't help but smile in my bag
   and check off item number one.

online racing,
speeding ticket bound
but a thought provoker
catches my eye, I screech to a halt-
listen to a voice with a here I am
self assurance…
   pop a wish I was too in my bag
   and check off item number two.

missing you lines straight painted
down a no passing zone
I turn the corner to find that
your  "been there too"
says more than you will know.
   pop compassion understood in my bag
   and check off item number three

angles favor the sides of your smile
just below a pair of beautiful
unarmed eyes, that draw me inside
take a block I do
with time no longer a regard.
   pop a heart throb in my bag
   and check off item number four.

six minutes I take
to walk with you
and stand open mouthed
at your gift, nature shared,
appreciation spreads your hands wide.
   pop a wonderful heart in my bag
   item number five...
   only a few items left

Conclusion clouds darkly ahead
I stop open eyed,
wait a minute, I don’t know the rules
for this game, and
just what is the winner promised here?
unaware, I was taken, I think,
by the pleasure of the hunt
   I smile and
   my list I let fly
