desert flower looking for rain

closeness
the ... undeniable
way you've
captured my
b r e a t h
it could have
been the way the
sun shimmered
off the emerald
blanket that
made my eyes
fill, to splatter
smiles across the
green
but it was the
way your laugh
pierced through
the clouds and
the way the
words of your
song were carried on
eagles wings
until they were
cast into the
sky
free to fall
free to root
free....to be
the reason why
tonight
I can see you
here ...
on the green

well after putting a year into the
