My daddy spoke in graveled voice Matter-fact No-life-of-choice and spoke of times I could not know and how he watched the cotton grow and watched a flower's bloom with dread knowing fingers bleed of bed prick of thistles fingers bled white cotton dripping droplets red and then? he smiled. and then? i wept.... to know that I am droplet kept. serenity, this is a gentle write that feels sad, mournful to me, but cannot say I understand your full meaning of droplet kept, though the comments of others make me wonder why and yet their comments do not convince me either feel like explaining or is this one you wish the reader, solely, to interpret? |
