Who's to say
that leaf alay
has gone astray?
What sadness then to rake it.

Where to flee
a refugee
from you and me?
How gladness would forsake it.

When imply
to justify
a battle cry?
Whose badness could outbreak it?

What we owe
to friend or foe's
not fatal blows,
where madness always takes it.

How renew
the point of view
peace overdue,
when status undertakes it.

Forgive me my contrived doggerel, my forced rhyme. Let's just call it poetic license, or an exersise in frivolity.

Exercise away....

some will find the tongue in cheek here...and, there are days that we need to do just this....

I call it prioritizing....

I was going to ask the most important question upon noticing its abscence, but then found it answered by your disclaimer...  (and a clever integration of the vowels of the title in the endings -- didn't notice that at first!)  An enjoyable read, Richard.

You keep on creating these exersises in frivolity, you do them well.

I agree with Severn, thumbs up Richard, and what a fantastic job you did on getting that all into one poem!  Frivolity you say?  Well, do another, it was great!
