No More

Sudden grief unbinds
tears, shock, cries of denial.
Dawn violated.

Roiling, surging thoughts,
lacking words to rest upon,
convey nonetheless.

Life draped in winter
before our eyes, in our hearts,
spirits desolate.

From within despair
disparity withers, wanes,
and we are renewed.

Love provides solace.
Growing unity pervades,
bound by common fate.

Together we strive
for wisdom, strength, and courage
to face the challenge.

Embraced one and all
as a nation, as a world
we declare "No More".
