Lounging uneasy on the precipice of sleep,
I sit alone on my bed of uncertain anticipations.
Wondering, ever wondering, what is to come of me?
And as I gaze from my plain window
I see the shuttling particles of existance fluttering by --
Fluttering endlessly by...
I wonder if they noticed me, sitting alone on this bed,
Half asleep and waiting for some unseen thing.

Welcome.  This forum may contain more "answeres" than you dreamed possible if you have the time to ponder the poems...  Contemplative write describing an experience many of us, I'm sure, have shared.

Welcome!!!  Very nicely done, I too like the opening line and I think many of us have times at the edge of the bed looking out our plain window, maybe more than at other times right now...did someone say 'recession'?

or is it just summer?

Excelent poem, and welcome to passions.

How did I miss this before?    Welcome to Passions!!!
I love this poem...I especially like the lines:

"I see the shuttling particles of existance fluttering by --
Fluttering endlessly by..."

I look forward to reading more from you!
