To
Marge Tindal
A Keeper of the Fire

----------------------------------------------------

What does it take to make us say,
exploiting and greed isn’t spiritual way.
To drive the people from promised land,
where they were ensured a very last stand.
Incarcerating the wise for their own beliefs,
all because of the lands in their keep.

What does it take to make us say,
how can this happen in this time and day?
Broken promises lay like broken glass,
stretching all the way from days of the past.
It has always been, one and the same,
when land in question is the name of the game.

What does it take to make us say,
leave the minerals to stay and lay.
Promises are more sacred then coal or gold,
the ones we elected need to be told.
Time has come to stop turning the head,
be of the people, there is more needs said.

What does it take to make us say,
enough is enough, this is not a play.
Negotiate in council like learned men,
for to lie and cheat is only a sin.
Might is not right, when lives are at stake
so let us say, before mistakes they make

Wonderful work, Logan.  Those who tend the fire are special souls indeed.  I know Marge will love this!

Logan~
Thank you, friend and fellow-keeper.
The lessons of the past were apparently
not sufficiently learned for the greedy men of the world.

The gravity of the situation at Big Mountain in Arizona is
a continuing blight on the suppression of the rights of the
indigenous peoples of this land.
We MUST remain diligent to help them maintain their rights
to religious practice and keep the land free from the harvesting
of the minerals at the expense of those rights.

I appreciate all who have helped me in getting the word out
about the abuse of the Dine'/Navajo tribes.
For those interested in reading more on this incident -
and voicing your objections of the treatment - please read here-

ahh, Sweet Warrior. This was beautiful! You know I enjoy it. I have been reading you more than I have been replying to you as of late. I feel I'm neglecting you.   It certainly is wonderful to see others given the gift of your friendship. this makes me happy!

Logan-
It takes people like Marge, and like you...
people who care enough to not only
spread the word to others, but are also
willing to do something about it.

I hope everyone who reads this will
follow the link Marge has offered, and
do everything they can to help protect
   these people and their rights.
Greed should not get in the way of
   their religious freedom.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Logan.

   hugs,
   ~vicky

LW, yes, Marge is definately a keeper of the fire and very special indeed..Appreciate you being here again, my friend..very gentle smile

Ahh, Marge, most gentle smile, maybe this time we will win. Your efforts are no more than I expected from a guardian. We understand each other...again a gentle smile and a hug for what you be.

Sissie, very gentle smile..it is for all of us, is it not? You know too...

Most gentle maid, tender gentle smile, nothing is neglected that is unconditional, so you being here today has made mine

Ahh, Vicky, you are so kind with your comments, and humble me with the comparison. I also hope others will see the link that Marge was so kind to offer out..hmm, wasn't one of the things the Revolutionary War was fought for, was religious freedom?..very gentle smile, thank you for being here

This is one of those special qualities that I find in you, Marge, and others herein. Caring about people and the world, and the rights of others. I'm truly proud to know you both.
