your eyes talk--
they talk to me in the darkness
saying things
i never thought i could believe

your eyes speak to me
the things your lips
                    keep silent--
the words
you find too hard to utter;
the words better left unsaid...

your eyes
are a light in the night
shining through my body
burning my flesh
and reaching deep inside

your eyes whisper--
they talk to me in shadowed tones
telling me secrets of your mind
whispering your thoughts
                    to my ear

your eyes--
          kissed me
before you ever pulled me in...

i was about to remark that wow, all your poems are getting so sensual these days til i read your comment to balladeer about how this is an oldie from the attic

i liked the implications of the second verse and yes, i think you have a winner of an ending too...

is 1989 the year you started writing??
