I've been maligned for so many times,
Now the end of the plank draws near.
Even the sweetest soul could not just roll
With the slights from Balladeer.

Your sweet  sighs, your laughing cries
Of 'Bravo' have run me through.
Have not I been a perfect gentleman?
So why am I harmed by you?

Ol' Long John, you're cool.  They'll all be fooled!
You'll soon have their sympathies.
Make 'em feel remorse, then steer their course.
With the use of their empathies.

Please save me maidens, my heart is laden,
With the pain 'Deer's been inflictin'.
Tell Balladeer he's not welcome here,
That Long John is the one you're pickin'.

Send that reprobate somewhere far away,
So he no longer can mislead you.
Then ease my pain by saying again,
"Is there anything we can do?"

You've got them John, now pour it on.
Old 'Deer's heading out the door.
They'll never learn how they've been burned,
By the actions you've implored.

Thank you, women, for using your venom,
Against that villain named Balladeer.
He's seen the light, you've done right,
Now, use your bosoms to dry my tears.

A brilliant stroke, your actions are cloaked,
Now they'll all pull you to their breasts.
Now fake some crying, they don't know you're lying,
As you pursue your selfish quests.

Thank you my friends, for bringing to an end,
The reign of that scalawag.
Just one more caress, I love you the best,
They'll never know that they've been had.

Thank you, sweetest of all women poets for taking the time to come to my aid.  The tears are slowing now, and justice has been served by your caring actions.  Careful, John - They don't suspect anything right now, but they can be real mean if they learn the truth.

Oh Long John, hear my Sy
for there are White Knights and other guys
who've come around with Passion's pleas
who have taken us in with ease
Poetic Knight, Sven's still here
and in the wings, stands Balladeer
Captain, he rings a round or two,
RMW and Well's, they're here, too...
you come in with swagger and grin
thinking you might well pluck hearts or two
well, my Sailor, through thick and thin
the others here have scuttled your crew!
They are here, day in, day out
they hold our hearts, not one a lout
they stand true, in stead and deed
and post often and more, by Passions' creed!
so don't cry, nor pout, nor fume
we'll let you in, there's still room
but you must take your time, and woo us sweet
while Toe and 'Deer ready concrete....

"They'll never know that they've been had."
???? And what, pray tell, might the point of that be?

Personally, I like to know when I've been had. And on a really good day? The neighbors will know too!   &

SEA - I ws hoping my thoughts wouldn't be so transparent - but I'm glad to see you approve, nevertheless.

Lady - ROFL@concrete  - Nicely penned - I know there are other men in here, BUT, can you trust them like you trust me?  hmmm??

Jelly, I used italics because I know there aren't too many people in here who can read Italian.  Pretty smart, eh?  Thank you for your very nice remarks.

Sending Balladeer away???
And keep only you is a hard task
But....oh my sweety deary John
I thought you would never ask

But then, when Balladeer has gone
You will get homesick to this Deer
And I, I'll just miss all the fun
of you two quarreling in Passions here

So though I really do understand
what you were saying here above
I think I'll hang on to Balladeer
as well as on you my sweety love

Titia

Oh Deer, Oh Deer, What shall you do?
That LngJhnAg's maligning you...
He's gathering each Passions lass
Entreating them to give you sass...

Don't worry, though, sweet Balladeer
I'll snag that LongJohn by his ear.
I'll sit him down and have a chat
And tell him that he is a brat!

He shouldn't lure them with such ruse
Each for themselves these gals can choose.
But wait - He's giving out kewl hugs.
While you, my Deer, are killing bugs...

Hey, LongJohnAg - I'm over here
I need a hug, but don't tell Deer...

Oh, very slick, LongJohn...that "silver" after your name must be for your tongue. No matter, though..Passions is filled with sincere and trustworthy ladies who would never toss me aside for your glib act of contrition and victimization....although I can see by their responses you do seem to have a certain amount of charisma with them. hmmmmmm...maybe I should lighten up a bit so you do not look so beaten upon, ya think?

ME NEITHER!!!!

Oh my, Sea duty must have been really long!
There's enough of us to go around. Just depends on what the craving is for the day. Spam or Fish? How bout a buffet, all you can eat. Get Busy Boys!

Charisma - I understand completely - it's the mangy cur who deserves the sympathy.  Go ahead, he needs a pity-girl.  I won't hold him against you (the stains might be hard to remove) - lol

Melody - Thank you for seeing my side of this lopsided battle.  There's me, struggling to convey my message in poorly crafted words, going up against the finest poet in the whole world.  I know it may seem hopeless, but then, I must strive for justice and equality ooohhh, Long John, she'll wilt under that self effacing torrent.  You da man, John!

Titia - *perk*  You'll hang onto both of us?  Did you read that, 'Deer?  Titia is one of those wild ones we read about all the time but never run into - woo hoo - Thanks, Titia, you've made my day!  lol

Ohhh, sweet Miss B (may I call you Aunt Bea?  It has a nice Mayberry ring to it     )  You are so darn witty.  I wish we could see each other more frequently than once a year.      I love your poem.  You are so great.

Hi ya Sandra - Yanno, I wrote this poem especially for you.

Corinne - Yanno, I wrote this poem especially for you. That was a risky thing to say, you devil.  But what are the chances she'll talk to Sandra?  No way!

'Deer - My good friend - I sincerely hope you don't think this poem was about YOU!  *innocent backstabbing look here*  I was talking about 'Deer Toerag - heh

Regina - Whoaaaa, that was hot.  My gosh, girl - I'm just a weak man.  You've gotta slide those posts in after a warning - I'm gonna be tossing and turning all night now.  Woohooo
