Raindrops falling gently down the windowpane,
washing off the dust of summer days
Nature’s cleaning up her canvas once again,
We’ll soon be witness to her splendid ways...

Summer’s drawing to a close, we see the change,
the greens show signs of Autumn in their hues
And as we watch, her canvas starts to re-arrange,
the colors, on display for all to view...

She paints around intrusions made by human kind,
their busy-ness does not affect her pace
Slowly and with subtle ease, what’s left behind,
is now replaced by Autumn’s golden face...

The palette’s gone, all colors used, the painting’s done,
so Mother Nature sets it out to dry
And those with watchful eye will see that Fall’s begun,
with canvas set to change, as days go by...

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Sunnyone..you write almost as good as mother nature paints. Really enjoyed this.

Beautiful flow and sure enough despite mans worst efforts nature won't stand interference. Very nice.

Nad I know SOMEONE who cannot wait for autumn to come..perhaps there is a hint of that in this beautiful poem.

I am going to miss seeing the autumn this year (because of my move to Florida), but thanks to you I am enjoying all of the colors in your beautiful words. Great Job Sis!
