Magical Moment

The dusk brings a sense of beginning and end
When sky’s reds and purples and aureates blend
In silence the heavens announcing that this
Is the day’s final moment of glory and bliss

The earth and the season have somehow produced
The timing of swallows to gather and roost
A signal for crickets to fiddle a tune
When bat silhouettes flap across silver moon

I sit and observe evening’s drama unfold
Though there’s no final peace in all I behold
Til the moon rises up in a soft globe of white
And little stars come out to cover my night

Liz, I was just discussing your work with a fellow "pipper" yesterday, and this is a great example of what we both agreed upon--you should be published! Reading your work is akin to going to the best restaurant in town! You never disappoint.

The faces of tomorrow are always there to touch us through a curtain of promise and you pen the peace and elegance more beautifully than most can even think of.  So exquisite is your pen and your talent for sharing the marvels of life with us.  Superb penning as always.

Elizabeth~
I liked the quiet beauty in this piece~

'The earth and the season have somehow produced
The timing of swallows to gather and roost
A signal for crickets to fiddle a tune
When bat silhouettes flap across silver moon'

You make the 'magic' happen~
