Tonight I wished upon a falling star that streaked, so bright, across the midnight sky. I asked it if I could be where you are but I received no answer in reply. And then I searched for a four-leaf clover, while I lay in the grass and dreamed of you. It just didn’t seem to help me over the vast distance that separates us two. A little rabbit’s foot, I tried to find or a lucky charm in an old horseshoe. Superstitions I put my faith behind never got me any closer to you. Instead I’ll find myself a place to hide and in my dreams I will be by your side. Take me home to Erin's shores, |

A wonderful sonnet. I really have a hard time with them but you smoothed right through this piece with many wishfull images. Very nice flow! Sincerely, Regina [This message has been edited by rwood (edited 08-22-2001).] |

Regina, I used to have trouble too, but with help from people here, I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks Mysteria, I think I will have to keep practicing though. Maeve Take me home to Erin's shores, |
