a rumbling came,
thundering intent
thought it'd break
my resolve
but no

'tis you

I have waited
pins and needles
tell me

still,
so quiet
hardly breathing

looking around
spare white walls
covered in pointillist
perfection

I know you

as you heard
sepia tones

canvas remaining
taut, only
hoping that the
brush would
soon dip

before the
paint
dries

inspired by the Captain...

lovely.... I see pointillist made it into your poem..and the tension you spoke of in reply to mine... always nice to see how spring boarding off anothers changes or follow the feel of the first... Good work!!!

I enjoyed a great deal!!

Ahh, my son makes his living with his paints and sculptures. and I have seen that feeling in him, the wait, then the frenzied actions before it leaves...ahh, gentle poets all, do we not do the same with our words? loved this write, oh gentle one..very gentle smile
