Silent Are The Dreams

Silent are the dreams that come on tiptoes in the night
Silent are desires blazing in a candle’s light
Silent are the songs that have been wasting in my heart
My room is wrapped in feather sounds since we have been apart

Quiet is tomorrow’s hope that  rustles in the trees
Hushed are whispering verses that are blowing in the breeze
Soft is someone’s trembling voice that settled in my ear
Unheard are my illusions that are ever drawing near

I can hear the murmur in my heart’s enraptured beat
Sounds of meadow’s creatures come alive in summer’s heat
Babbling is the little brook that springs from hillside wells
Lovely is the music of the country chapel bells

I listen for an echo chime from Jupiter and Mars
Resounding all your love for me -
but silent are the stars

Elizabeth Santos

This is so very composed in its stillness, you can hear the feather touch down...

Silence can be deadening, and when all the world seems still and right a trembling heart can fill with fright. Enjoyed the lonely lament.

Silence and stillness can be such a deafening sound,
I'm wishing you a symphony of love to wrap your heart around.

Oh this was kind of sad, but beautifully done!
