~*Marge Tindal*~

Tucked inside this chiffonier
are bits and pieces of your past
If only for this moment
I try to make them last

Little lacy lilac thoughts
dressed in the fragrance of you
Left in lingering remembrance
Oh, mother ... what a lovely thing to do !

If only you had known
I'd hold this diary so dear
To read upon it's pages
words you wanted me to hear

Long before you knew me
or held me to your breast
You penned the stories daily
that I've come to love the best

Here in June, on page twenty three
recording the love that was meant to be

I'll wait for you forever, Jack
If only the sea turns 'round
bringing you back on waves of love
no more will you be away
Here within my arms, my love
forever and a day
-Beverly

How softly your thoughts read
it's as though you surely knew
I'd find the comfort that I might need
through gentle words from you

Almost enough for tonight, Mother
my heart with remembrances blessed
Keeping you in my thoughts
I close the book and close the chest

Fortunate is the one who can look back with inspiration and guidance through the words of those they love. What a beautiful, lovely gift Marge, much enjoyed.

Best wishes,
/Kit

I've always saved things that meant something to me for my children, kept diaries hoping someday my children would want to read them and perhaps gain something from them.  After reading this I no longer fear that my work will go un-read. Beautiful work, I loved it.

Haunting in a positive and surreal way...  And even more so when you consider that those extremely personal inspirations of your mother's are now bequeathed to all of humanity through the miraculous wonder of technology known as the Internet...  A very wholesome write, Marge, and a powerful tribute, too.

How wonderful, a tender moment shared through a diary. There's a special connection there. She's given you a gift.

Do not fear going forward slowly,
Fear only standing still.
