Mute Torment

Sunshine in a box
unleashes mind's eye torment
prison bleeds stigma
dead heart feasts upon itself
for miracles molested
~
The scream of silence
enslaves punctured dreams of soul
depression slits throat
trapped by wall's haunting hell of
the sound of no sound

Hi! Melissa,

I'm new to this forum... but, I have to let you know that I really enjoy this piece. Deep, dark and soul searching. It cries for the breath of fresh air. It bellows for freedom. Kudos!   Love and peace ((~.~))

This makes me think of the victims of the holocaust.  Very powerful, indeed.

Certainly hellish, but too a breakthrough.

Yes, this is good.  Interesting picture; reminds me of Goya.

Very potent, Melissa...  I especially liked the 2nd half -- some powerful imagery and descriptions there.
