This Room

I locked myself in here
Hidden from the game
I seemed to have lost mine
The smallest flame

As I set mentally disforming
I stared at a spot on the wall
That has forever been forming
Look, there near by
The animals in the wallpaper
Are prancing around.
I cry
My mental disarray fills the room
And out through the roof vents
My cries are heard by heaven
As they leave my tomb

I notice a spider in the corner
He fell to the floor
Taking half of his web with him
As he climbed the wall
I noticed he only had four legs
Not the eight that nature ordered
He went right to work rebuilding his web
He slipped a few times
But not a cry was heard

I dried my tears
And put on some clothes
I left my prison
I walked past a mirror
And I decided to smile at my jailor

By God,
I’m going to give life another try

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Strong message through a provoking description.
