Sometimes I cannot bear to wait...
the days  seem oh so long...
I try to trust in Lady Fate,
and stay forever strong...
But sometimes I just need to touch
the face that I love so..
I ask myself why love should hurt...
Sometimes I just don’t know...

When every day is shadowed by
mistrust at other’s hands...
and I can only sit and cry,
and never understand...
That’s when I ask myself how much
my heart can really take...
I know to make it stronger still,
sometimes it has to break...

For when it breaks, the surface cracks,
but not the core inside...
and all the little broken tracks
you simply cannot hide...
But time is life’s great miracle,
and heals it doubly strong...
The process calls for patience,
but sometimes it takes too long...

So, while I wait, I contemplate
what life can hold in store...
and tell myself that there are reasons,
I am waiting for...
But, still, it’s hard to bide my fate
and let the days slip by...
While deep down I know I must wait,
sometimes it hurts to try...

Now I must look inside myself,
and try to learn and grow...
For Fate has sat me on a shelf,
so I could come to know...
the person that I have become,
the woman in the glass...
Her future’s bathed in golden sun...
Sometimes she has no past...

And while I wait within my shell,
a peace has taken hold...
No longer do I live in Hell,
but  gather self-control...
For all my dreams from birth to here,
are right within my hands...
I know that I have naught to fear...
Sometimes I understand...

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Oh, I can't tell you how this moved me, and I mean every word of it. I couldn't pick a favorite line if I tried. I am so glad you put this out here for me to see, read and yes, heal.. This is absolutely beautiful to me, I needed every word. Thank you, Sunny.

Very powerful words that we all must look at in our time of need.  Sometimes you have to take two steps backwards to proceed forwards.  Very nicely penned in your usual wonderful way that only you know how.

Thanks for sharing Sis.

Look within, my friend.  The answers lie inside you and that is why you have been given this time to explore them.  This was very well written.

by the grace of God.
