i will find a hole in a mountain
a deep hole that crawls well into its side
a hole of rich, dark soil, warmed from the heat of Earth
sweet Terra Firma
i will take a pillow for my head
i will take a blanket full of love
then deep into the side of mighty mountain will i creep
to sleep, to dream of lovely times
to rest my head on earth hewn bed
beside a trickle of rivulet beating my heart’s rhythm
tenderly lulling me, a balm to my soul
do not come in after me
do not plead and beg
i will not emerge
until the Light comes in after me
shining me awake
shining me anew
shining me alive

then, only then, will i return in creep of slow
when gently, softly Light shows me the way
back out of the darkness
back out of sleep
back out of dream
back into living in Light’s stream

Wonderful write, VAS.  I love the ending, just perfect!
