Someone swept the rug beneath
the surety of mine own feet.
An instant blink and all is gone
with nothing left but dirge of song.

Every dawn arises sun,
a yoke upon my spirit hung--
the very light confuses me.
I crave dark--where I should be.

I long for days of molded bliss--
a hankie tied in pulse of fist
with just the taste of ecstacy
untying tongue of false god's plea...

Now there is no place left to turn,
as embers smolder in my yearn.
Now it is all left up to me--
I had no clue I once was free.

~Oh Dear. You've stopped me dead in my tracks. My tongue is twisted and I just hope that you're alright. *Peace poet K.

I've often heard that we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone - but that truth isn't absolute. Feeling blessed doesn't protect us from the grief of loss.   I like your poem very much - but it made my heart ache.

I felt every word, every word. And yes, being blessed doesn't stop us from aching and hurting. Take comfort in the ones around you and embrace their love.

When you have no strength of your own, draw from the ones you love, that is what they are for.  My heart aches from the words in this poem, and all I can say is, God Bless!

Oh, K... aching, hon, just aching...

the very light confuses me.
I crave dark--where I should be.

Damn. I understand this a little too deeply, sort of stopped me, and I smiled -- tight-lipped -- 'cause I knew, yanno?

I long for days of molded bliss--
a hankie tied in pulse of fist
with just the taste of ecstacy
untying tongue of false god's plea...

Wow. ‘Nuf said.

Sighs and strength, sweetie. Take very good care of yourself. And go talk to a tree or somethin'

wont you take me to your home
wont you be for me forever
so Ill never be alone
