he doesn't like to hear me sing
he would deny it
but every time i do he
interrupts with more important conversation or
makes fun of me or
blatantly complains that i'm annoying him

but she
she is his muse
when she sings he stares in awe
his eyes fill with tears
he tells everyone to stop what they're doing and
listen
to the beautiful music
coming from her soul

i wish i could sing like that

no i will NOT wait three seconds!

you must sing as yourself. . . and not as another. . .

reminds us that our real muses are closer than we think. . . well done. . .

i fancy myself as a good listener
