where the sky and horizon meet

0 posted 2001-08-02 05:06 PM

There are answers up there,
I thought as I gazed at the sky.
I thought of all my questions,
As a falling star caught my eye.
I sighed and thought of you,
And clouds formed overhead,
As questions with no answers,
tramped inside my head.
All I want is clear night skies,
A time to rest my mind.
All I want is happiness,
But this I cannot find.
The big dipper comes into view,
scooping out these thoughts,
Spreading them across the sky,
Making me feel lost.
In this horizon of troubles,
I have stumbled too long,
Now I must sift through the stars,
And find out what is wrong,
Until the clouds clear away,
And my heart reflects the moon,
Serene, calm and shining bright,
Singing a pristine tune.

Your beautiful night sky seems a very happy place to be. Even if troubled, it seems serene. Very well written!
Sincerely,
Regina

I love your sky...  Remember too, though, that the answers are inside the vistas of you...

Know what you mean...was just thinking to myself a few ago why am I not happy...sometimes I get what I want and I'm still not happy...because my heart always has new demands and needs...happiness is elusive....sometimes I am happy...James

This is wonderful writing...
your employ of imagery and metaphor kept in theme with the celestial visions you painted the emotions with.
very well done SK...beautiful, bittersweet poem.
