While your innocent expectations
and your blushing open face,
may have escaped the others notice,
I
stalled,
stared,
and dare burn my lazered gaze
to the middle of your bulls eye pupils,
pinned,
in the center of the blue circled iris,
surrounded,
by the pale blue tinted field of your outer sclera,
framed by your long lashes.
You held the arrow of my gaze,
and didn't stand a chance.

I was reminded
of the freshly lain snow,
pure, white and innocent,
when
as a boy,
I was compelled
to run through it's middle.
Only then,
no outside observers,
thought my actions ruinous.

The dominating conquerer
always road downhill,
in the taking
of whatever he wanted,
before being lulled,
not by a sense of security but
the comfort,
softness,
the need,
addiction
and finally
surrender,
to that which
ultimately
owned
him.

Sting's song "Wrapped Around Your Finger" comes to mind...  Powerful imagery and poignant "confession"...

Strong, and yet vulnerable...very magnetic in it's forcefullness though. Wow!
