standing on a shadow's lace

Romancing the Dance

I wish again to romance
the soothing touch
of midnight’s shadow dance
the comfort of its moon lit glow
secure place
where all dreams flow
shadows waiting there for me
to dance in time
our feet fly free
there we rise in the sky
like our souls
we too can fly
no longer fettered by our feet
dreams do dance
unknown steps complete
tango and waltz until the dawn
when light intrudes
and midnight shadows are gone

"...the rest is silence" (Hamlet)  Shakespeare

ah.. isee the music of midnight has enticed you to again offer us words of rhyme... that themselves dance upon time.

Nicely done

I enjoyed

May the dance continue for all time.  Beautiful, helen.

lovely, helen!
so often I've dreamed of dancing without feet on the floor/ground, every move as smooth as a dream lilting on air

loved going there
again
