In the Pre-Dawn Virginia Salter the morning came in darkness its ebony engulfed me yet I arose and took my light into it spent moments intrigued in what I found until the hour took its toll and begged me return to sleep silently I bid adieu to the wonder that came in my seeking thus finding slumber so much so to my liking © July 19, 2000 |

Yep, poetry has a funny way of doing strange things to us..... like waking us up in the middle of the night or early morning...... I'm sometimes waking up counting my fingers... Weird huh? and no problems sleeping here... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz -Bob |

ah, bob, is that what it is? I thought it was heartburn or too much caffeine.  Cpat, sleeping in is so much more fun when you know you are, isn't it.  |

Cool poem. Sometimes I'll get up in the night and I'll be completly awake then plan my day and fall asleep on the couch never remembering one minute of the earlier. awaking. Do not fear going forward slowly, |

Hi! This is my first day here and I'm enjoying the awesome poetic talents.... One being this very fine piece. Come morning I always hate to get up.... come night I'm always glad to return to sleep.
