Sirens scream and blue
lights fill the scene
A cop talks into his radio
Shots fired,A boy is down
and he's only a teen
Dispatch EM and dont drive
slow
He lies in a pool of
spreading blood
Four slugs have driven
deep in his chest
Nothing can stop
that crimson flood
He's dead said the medic
we did our best
Drawn by the crowd
a woman crys out loud
My son,my son
On his head a bandana
he wore so proud
Made him a target for
another gang's gun
His mother cradles his head
It's all over now
the body is gone
The bandana is now
colored blood red
Lieing like a piece
of trash on the stone

you know my brother wears a stupid bandanna thing on his head..the reason?..i have no idea we dont even HAVE gangs here in australia! i look at it and tell him that its the most immature thing for him to be doing/wearing.
its sad what happens to kids these days huh?
i liked this one very much..again a cliched but true situation...keep writing!

A verry good poem, but sort of sad.  It reads like a poem from that book, Chicken Soup for the Teenage soul.  A VERY good poem.

Love will come and love will go, but friends are forever (usually).

I'm with Allie, Perhaps this will be a lesson to others, an example.
So sad...But so well done.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.
