I don't need your pity,
Having already given me so much.
You've caused the pain,
You've caused the confusion.
Love from you was never free,
It cost my life,
My mind,
My freedom.
I was pulled down,
Simply drowning.
But now I see,
How much you lack,
How much you need.
Well, you've crossed that line,
The undetermined, hazy line,
Point of no return.
Therefore I don't need your pity.
Rather soon however... I'll be offering mine.

I enjoyed this one. I really liked the ending. Whoever this is for it sucks to be them. Wow....well nice job on this one. I really liked it.

Jenn!  WOOHOO!  Wowsers.. this is a good poem.  Sometimes, when we find ourselves in the most unhealthy relationship, we have to just take a step back and think about what's right for us.  I'm glad you got out of something that was obviously very unhealthy.  Nice work, I really liked the last line.

Thanks much Marie.   I actually got out of this relationship long ago, but I've never been quite able to pull away completely. A few days ago, he made it much easier. Good riddance I say.... I've found someone who is so much more wonderful...so much sweeter...someone who loves me much more honestly. I'm so much more content now.
And yes Dopes...I agree, it does suck to be him. LOL

What a strong bunch of emotions you have in this, Jenn. I liked the little twist at the end though. It was very unexpected. Very well written and it is good to see you being so strong.

Well done on the 2000 by the way.
