Well this is the first poem I post in here  !
I'm not Ms. Poetry but I do enjoy writting so hey I hope you enjoy reading.:

Once in a past not yet forgotten,
once in a time not so long ago.
I saw a rocket make its way to the moon
and I said to myself " Maybe I can go!"
For what if the moon is really a dream?
And maybe, just maybe,it's been waiting for me.
I put on my spacesuit
and off I wen.t
Safe was the thought
of a much better place.
Cuz  maybe the day was always bright
and wishful stars lit up the night.
And maybe in my honor the ocean would wave.
And always in my heart I'd have my faith.
Oh, to think no more looking down.
Oh, to smile and never frown.
It was all very exciting.
I was almost there.
Expectations were high
I was so prepared.
I heard the rocket land
as I stood beside the door
awaiting this place
I had dreamt about before.
The door finally opened
and I quickly stepped outside.
I took of my helmet
and to my surprise
I hadn't gone anywhere.
Maybe we took a wrong turn.
It took me a while to figure it out
but after it all I was quite satisfied.
I remember seeing another rocket that year,
I saw as it made it's way to the moon.
I smiled and turned away
for now my mind was clear.
The moon didn't hold what I had so wished for,
the moon wasn't my true dream
It wasn't the place were your heart was filled
with the satisfaction of all you have fulfilled.
It wasnt full of happiness, nor magic, nor love.
It wasn't at all what I had thought.
But when I truly looked deep down
I realized that Earth was were all that is found.

Hey Laura! Oh I'm so glad you started posting! HeHe, I don't even think I knew that you wrote poetry. (Then again, I think it's a rule that all Javi's friend write and listen to SP- So I should've guessed. LOL) ANYWAY! I liked this alot! The meaning behind it was awesome. One we all need to figure out. You wrote this very well.I'm impressed. I enjoyed it bunches upon bunches! And by god- I want to see MORE! NOW! HeHe. Off I go! Buh Bye girlie.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

first of all WELCOME TO PASSIONS LAURA!!
I'm glad you decided to join the community smurfy, lol. anyways to your poem, I'm speechless lol, I wish my first post was like that! I really liked your poem because it has a basic idea being discribed in it; how us as human beings are never satisfied and we always try to find something better than what we already have, you also ended it quite nicely describing the realization of how what you were looking for you already had, you just didn't see it. I believe most of us humans never actually see this so we always stay unsatisfied (I can include myself in this with some ocutions of my life). I rerally enjoyed your writing and I can't wait to see your next post. Now off I go into the wind! lol

I see the darkness coming all is bleak...

*cough* REALLY late....

Welcome! lol...ok, the welcome is late but Welcome anyway.

A very cool piece. I could find a lot of meaning behind it and it's one of those philosophical pieces you ponder for hours on end.

I really like it and now you need to post lots more for us to read.
