I wake up at 9 for a whole week,
I got outside and work on the car,
I am out there tightening, loosening, and breaking everything i dont need,
Soon soon soon ill be in a derby.

Friday night will come and ill only be in the stands,
Watching my dad be nervous with his shaking hands,
Little hits here and little hits there,
Tooks us a long time when my dad claimed third,
Our first time out not to bad we qualified for the final heat if the car can run,
Back to the pit in a big big hury we got 30 minutes to get all our gears back,
We go into the final heat no reverse only drive head first we must take this dive.

We go for only a short short time out like a light was our dream we wanted,
I put my hands over my face,
Tears of sadness and disgrace,
Tears of pain cuz i know how much time we spent,
But most of all it brought me and my step dad together at last,
Something we have in common something we did now know,
The love of the demolition derby show.

I cried and cried and then i went down he hugged me big and told me not to cry and then i said why he told me were not done yet we just qualified,
Off to states we will go but not before we put our car in just one more show august 11th at a county fair we will finish him off and then were off to states a final victor of all the only first time driver to ever show.

this just shows my feelings sorry it does fit into a poetry form i thought if not just send me an email let me know k.

This was fine in my eyes. Not your best, but a well done.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Somewhere out there a cow is laughing at you
