In an upside-down garden

I could say a million things,
but I don't know if you'd come back,
or if you'd even care enough to try.

And I don't cry to you anymore,
because you can't change the past,
and I don't want to live inside a lie.

But if I said "I love you",
you better believe that it's the truth,
but I still don't know if you would care.

I wonder sometimes,
that if I needed you someday,
would you even be there?

I wonder sometimes,
if you'd pick up the pieces I drop,
and hold onto them, tight.

And if I let the tears fall out,
would you pick them up,
and just say it's alright?

They tell me that you know,
so there's no need to tell you,
but if you don't know, just ask.

They say you know I love you,
so I guess there's no need to say it,
but if you don't know, just ask.

If you ever need a friend,
I can be that for you,
if you can be that for me.

And if you need someone to talk to,
no matter what time of day,
that someone I will be.

I need you to help me fly,
to help me leave this crazy life,
to help me to be a good girl again.

I need you to not let go,
to help me out in many ways,
to always be a friend.

If you ever need me, boy,
I'll be there,
day or night.

And if you're ever hurt or alone,
if you stumble and fall,
I'll help you through every fight.

They say you know I love you,
but if you happen to forget,
and you need me to remind you, just ask,

They say you know I love you,
but if you need to remember that,
just look at me and know I'll always be there,
all you have to do is hold onto me if I fall,
and if you ever need anything,
just ask.

Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself.  That's what I live by.

Thanks ya all.  It's just another Justin poem, as always.  Hmm, somehow, I don't know if he'd even care to read it anymore.  Anyways, Darkened Shadows, it sounds like someone should write you a good poem sometime.  Everyone deserves one.  However, I'm still waiting for mine.  Unfortunatly, Justin's not a poet. Oh well, if he just asks me back out it'll be good enough.

Great job here Allysa. I really liked this one.
