To look at you,
Is to see a million things;
I could have done,
I should have done.
Is to watch a million seconds;
Of what we used to be,
What we no longer are.

To touch you,
Is to feel a million things;
I've felt before,
And long to feel again.
Is to feel a million memories;
Of passion and love,
Things we've forgotten.

To be near you,
Is to be close to a million things;
close to love,
And yet close to pain.
Is to be close to a million words;
Words of happiness,
Now turned cold.

Six million things,
I could have avoided,
If you'd loved me.

Welcome to Passions!!

Your first piece is really sad. It is unfortunate the trials that love puts ahead of us.
I'll be looking forward to your active role in this community.

I'm new here too!!!! I now realize that I am in the company of some real talent! I have an ex that I miss very much but I know that  I can't live in his world, that I don't want to, but everytime I look at him or think back, I can still feel his touch and taste his kiss.  Your poem reminded me of this.  Thanks for sharing.  Loved your poem.  I hope to see many more by you.
