Down town in a rushed crowd
a guy buys the mornin' paper,
the headlines say that
most folks don't return a favor.

Same time a few blocks down
a cab driver makes a living,
in the mornin' traffic
the meter is slowly ticking...


A man bragging about his job
unaware he lost it,
on every light poll
there's a picture of a lost kid,

And on the TV there's a broadcast
about a high speed chase,
'cause someone stole a car
at the wrong time at the wrong place...

It's a hot summer day
children are playing in the park,
a rich old couple
married 40 years buys a car.
they don't even need
they just wanna spend their money,
two guys rob a bank
just because they think it's funny.

As the cops draw their guns
a little girl gets hit,
just because one guy had
to pull that kinda hero ****.

knockin' on ms. Jones door
it's a cop, she gets out of bed,
in sadness he tells her
that her little girl is dead.

The sun goes down over
the beautiful city of bliss,
but tomorrow there'll be
another day just like this...
