obscured vision

emotions drained
as if it were his own life's blood
while he lay there on the cold bed
that signifies the passing into the next
listening to the words spoken
but not hearing a word of what was said
later the tears will fall, later when im alone
for now ill stand strong and hold them back
as my loved ones crumble before me
i'll comfort and be there for them
while on the inside ill cry for myself
for myself and my father, because he is dying
but for now, if only for now...

bah! i missed my 500th!
