Each period in life is a season
people come and go for a reason
childhood days are carefree and fun
but sooner that later those days are done
Change the season

Adolesence a period of confusion and joy
will you ask that girl out or remain the shy boy
will you fit in with the so called in crowd
or will you stand alone and still stand proud
Change the season

Adulthood 18 years of age
you're out of your childhood cage
learning new freedoms and responsibility
learning to experience some flexability
Change the season

Turning 20 in a matter of days
guess I have to remove childhood ways
can no longer use the teenager excuse
for everytime responsibility I abuse
change the season

well um yeah no longer a teenager in like 3 weeks it's a really wierd feeling I think I'm starting to feel old oh God no lol but yeah.

I'm not asking U 2 luv me I'm just letting out the truth no hold barred about what I feel nothing wrong with what I say

Well I'm just coming up 18, so I guess I've got a few more seasons to change...

Though, I really like this one.  It was clever!  A pleasent change and a nice reflection.

I won't tell you to keep posting, because I'm sure you will anyway... heh heh.

I feel inspired.

Hey Rescue- I really liked this. I get what you're saying. I think people of all ages will be able to relate. Kids turning into teenagers, teens to adults, adults to parents... and so on. Nice read.

LOL, feeling old already?  Wait until you're 40, or soemthing like that!

This is a very well written poem.  It reminded me of a Bible verse in ecclesiasties saying, "For every time there is a season, and a purpose for all things under Heaven."  Nicely done!  I enjoyed this.  And happy early birthday

I didn't know you were almost 20. That's new to me.....
Anyhow, I'm just heading off to college and I know how it feels to be letting go of that carefree childhood life. Oh well, it's just another stepping stone.
Well done here.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I admire it daily

Great job!  The repition was great.  Most of the time I do not like repititions like this, but this had a great effect.
