Darkness covered the room;
dim light through window pane;
seeing the impending doom
it felt so mundane.

man came through the door,
the night made him look black.
didn't know what he was,
until I stabbed him in the back.

then he looked up at me,
my brother laying on the floor.
how can this be?
he looked like a black man
when he came through the door.

What is it you have to answer?
But to answer you have to ask?
And to ask you have to speak?
And to speak you have to know,
The answer.

At first I thought this was a racist statement, but then I read it again and it doesn't come across like that at all. It was very well written and I liked it very much. You wrote it nicely.
