just a second more
you’d try to know inside
the black within your iris
such a cruel place to hide
somewhere I’m sure
I’ve caught a hole like that
before
it’s so not a comforting way
not a solace nor a refuge
but still a place I love to stay
just an empty room
a single window and no door
all I wanted was a pillow
and just a second more

is that you?

feel the full weight of fear
I don’t want to begin
but I’ll move from the candlelight
shadows
and I’ll fight to let you in.
